The focus of our riding program is on the individual horse and rider combination. A trademark of the program is teaching each student how to recognize and learn for themselves the various aspects of riding and thus be more independent.

At Wynn Farms we offer partial and full training of horses at our facility in Lima New York. Our head trainer, Sarah Donahue, incorporated numerous years of experience in both training and showing horses into each of her programs. Sarah has developed her abilities through numerous years of education and feels that the emphasis should be on the the tailoring of special training programs for each horse.

We enter our training programs with the belief that if you treat the animals with respect and cater to their needs they will work as hard as they can for their riders. Each of our horses are turned out on a daily basis. The Wynn Farms staff also provides an extensive supplement program to keep our horses in top health.

A large outdoor fenced riding ring is located at the main barn which offers ample opportunity for horses to train in a more natural environment. It also presents distractions which horses need so they may learn how to cope. Outdoor riding once mastered allows a more relaxed feeling of freedom betwwen horse and rider.

At the farm on Gale road is a smaller outdoor riding ring where the Donahue's managed quite well riding all year long, whatever the weather.

As any finely tuned athlete would go through a training program, each of our horses are provided with more than training. They are developed from a foundation that builds trust, assurance, and confidence in their ability.
